Serendipity

so i got a few requests after Evolution for a follow up, so call this a sequel.

Serendipity
she walks to the door, turns around and smiles once more, before she disappears into the bustle of the city,
he realizes she is no longer there and all he can do... is gasp for air……
and a deeper realization, he just watched his future disappear into thin air,
ever since the day he watched his future walk away, misery became his company and was there to stay,
from henceforth his heart would weep and everything seemed to go wrong and he had no choice but have his life drag along,
and tonight, tonight was no different because the debilitation kept on.

It was time to leave for the day but his client needed a few things so he needed to stay,
and when he was done on his way out, in his rush he knocked the pile of papers all over the place,
when he was done cleaning up, he stepped out of his office only to watch the lady shut the elevator in his face,
he took the stairs down and saw a cab, he rushed for it and caught his sleeve on the door in his haste,
he looked down at his sleeve to make sure it was not torn and then he looked.……
now things would have turned out differently if only one thing had not been the same,
if his client did not need him to stay,
if he had not knocked the papers all over the place,
if the lady had not shut the elevator in his face,
if he had not caught his sleeve in his haste,
but alas, it all happened as such so he looked down at his sleeve to make sure it was not torn,
and then looked to see the cab drive on.
at that very moment, the skies opened up and it began to rain,
he begun to raise his gaze to the skies to ask what he had done to deserve this plight,
but before he could, there she was across the street, like the heavens had opened and left an angel in his sight,
all he could do was wonder if he could handle the glare because he had seen the light
she caught his gaze and smiled and begun to walk over, looking ever so heavenly,
as if a manifestation of awareness of her preciousness, her wet clothes clung to her ever so tenderly,
now she stood before him, her beauty in all its glory,
she smiles and looks on expectantly, and then he smiles, almost foolishly,
but this time, she reaches for his lips and places her finger ever so gently,
and she softly says, I’ll take it from here, ever so sweetly,

Weeping may endure for the night but joy cometh in the morning but tonight his heart wept, wept tears of joy,
and it was clear that this was all a part of a divine ploy
