Evolution

Disclaimer: this is my first note in '09 due to serious writers block so i am a little rusty. Also, for you physics folk my evolution timeline might not be accurate, i haven't taken physics since 2003 so be easy.

Evolution
He gets on his knees to grab the time magazine,
No, let’s start from the very beginning….
15 billion years ago….. the big bang, universe expands cools and darkens,
Matter is condensed and produces hydrogen,
Accumulated into clouds, stars are born and we have galaxies,
Heavy atoms are produced from nuclear fusion,
Condensed into ice, dust and carbon based molecules, we have planet formation,
Organic molecules evolved into single cell organisms, they replicate and combine into multiple cell organisms
They evolve into reptiles and then warm blooded creatures
They learn to use tools, fire and language then eventually emerged into beings with consciousness,
Two hundred thousand years ago, the human being was born,
multiplied and spread and built cities and learned to love one another,
In that same vein, a few decades ago, a man laid eyes on a woman,
He wooed her and they were wed in holy matrimony,
On the honeymoon, in the throes of passion our young man was conceived,
And nine months later he was delivered,
With braggadocio and flare, intellect coupled with good looks he grew up to be quite the young man,
he walked into a bookstore and while he was looking out for the right stack, she bumped into him and dropped her Time magazine,
And at this very second, it is clear that the world evolved for the past 15 billion years exactly as it has to place him at this very scene,
He picks it up and lifts his gaze to the most beautiful sight he’s ever seen,
Like Moses on the mountain top, he is blinded by her radiance like that of a celestial being,
he blinks twice and realizes they are holding on to the Time together as they both make it onto their feet,
his heart is racing and the blood to his brain seems to be gushing,
he is praying for all the smoothness and charm so the words to leave his lips would be full of wit,
she is standing there staring right at him, as a crease begins to form at her perfectly shaped lips,
she smiles and looks on expectantly, and then he smiles, almost foolishly,
she pulls back the magazine after what seems like eternity,
she walks to the door, turns around and smiles once more, before she disappears into the bustle of the city,
he realizes she is no longer there and all he can do... is gasp for air……
